The whole fashion industry of the nation is somewhat Dhaka centric. All the now renowned boutiques had spurred from Dhaka and then spread throughout.

'Here we have some youth hailing from Sylhet, some coming all the way from London to start something new.

'Their effort was motivated towards doing something creative and not only to make money. In the past one year, they have created a loyal clientele who have embraced their designs wholeheartedly. That is quite something.'

That was Chandra Shekhar Shaha, Advisor to the group of youth who initiated Signature.

They are a complete shopping experience. Covering a wide assortment of attires starting from western shirts to eastern panjabis; clothes for women and accessories like shoes and belts.

“The Eid Collection 2009 runs in two parallel directions. On one hand we have trendy western outfits that is quite the craze among the youth, and on the other we have our traditional garbs. Although 'fusion' is the concept, both these lines retain their authenticity. We have not tried to force western fashion values up on the eastern attires and vice versa. They speak for their individuality”, says Kayesur Rahman, Managing Director, Signature.

Although they maintain a Studio at Uttora, Dhaka their sole outlet is in Sylhet. They have plans to open up a retail store in Dhaka soon.

It can be said without an iota of doubt that Signature will soon make a mark on the fashion scene. All we need to do is give time and wait…for the better of course!
